On the C:\ Drive I couldn't get BFV to start let alone play in any compatability mode. Your computer needs a drive other than the C:\ (system drive) working with Windows 11. I just don't want to run into license and activation issues. Should no more that a couple of days, and I had to reinstall Win10 so I can reinstall Win7. I just decided to go ahead and get a new drive for the old one and install Win7 or reinstall it. The new laptop had Windows 11 so I was happy and it did play games I enjoyed, well. So I just kept playing the online games which were on Steam. Along the way I ran out of room on both laptops. I wanted to play BF Vietnam on the new laptop so I installed and no go. But I was playing a few online games on the new one. It was faster had SSD and more mem plus it was faster. Anyway, I had gotten my current rig about a year ago. BFV seemed to work fine on Win7 and Win10, both. I was at his house and decided to install Windows 10 on it. ![]() My old laptop(a hand-me-down from my older brother(seems he's all the time doing that)), had Windows 7 installed when he acquired it. Well it seems that didn't help, I rifled through all the compatibility modes with bupkus. Does the directory need to be installed on the "C" drive? Can you suggest patching strategies? I have all the patches and I have the game disks and key which works fine. It was one of the last games I played before I got the Legion 5. I might revert it back to Vista or Windows 7 or Windows 8. I think I will try the old Lenovo Windows 10 laptop. Let me know if you need the DXDiag read out. High performance games are crashing left and right. I'm also having issues with the graphics. I think there was something we did to make these run better. I believe it played on Windows 10, on my old Lenovo windows upgrade. My laptop is a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Ryzen 5 CPU It has GEforce GTX and Radeon on board chipset. Is there a way I can get Vietnam to play like 1942? I think the Server is working fine.
